Art and Handcraft in Zoldo Valley.
The Zoldo Valley is rich of treasure and art, only waiting to be admired. It’s churches and suburbs are to be discovered slowly, taking enough time, to appreciate these enchanting treasures and to leave out nothing.
The habitation of Fornesighe is an emblem of spontaneous architecture where houses and hay and wood lofts hide one behind the other, in harmony, representing centuries of history, that describe the daily lives of the inhabitants of these places, from here we arrive at Cornigian and Villanova.
The church of Astragal, the church of San Rocco, and the monumental church of San Floriano of the XV century, which custodies the marvelous opera of Brustolon, the Altar of Anime della Pieve, realized between 1685 to 1687 undoubtedly merits a visit, including the abandoned suburbs of Cercena’ and Arsiera.
Inside the antique building that once belonged to the Capitan, during the domination ofVenice, you would find the museum of nails, an object so small and simple, but sustained the whole of the Zoldana zone, representing the production of metal in Zoldana, from the extraction of metal, until the working and finishing product of iron in the valley.
